The index is an ordinary Arweave transaction. chunkar walks its B‑tree using byte‑range reads, so each step reads a single 64 KiB page.

What just happened

Talk to open Arweave nodes

Right now the chunks come from a gateway acting as a dumb byte server — it is never asked where anything is. Open Arweave nodes serve those same bytes over plain HTTP, which a secure page blocks by default.
